Mavs Defeat South Dakota State on the Road

Brookings, S.D. -- The women's swimming and diving team defeated the South Dakota State Jackrabbits for the second time this season, 138-80, on Friday, Nov. 21 in Brookings.
UNO finished on top in seven out of 13 events with many Mavs earning their first, first place finishes of the season.
Freshmen Megan Jamieson and Ashley Barna both placed first in the 1000 freestyle (11:08.09) and 200 freestyle (2:05.34), respectively. Barna improved her personal best by over a second.
Other freshmen, Vanessa Fleguel and Lisa Wemhoff also paced the Mavericks with top finishes in the 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle.
The Mavs compete again on Saturday in Brookings in the Jackrabbit Invitational at 11 a.m.
