Mavericks Dominate at Invitational

Brookings, S.D. -- UNO won the Jackrabbit Invitational with 536.50 points, 141.50 more than the second place team, Minnesota State-Moorhead, Saturday.
With 10 first place finishes, the Mavericks out swam the seven other schools competing.
Juniors Sarah Clark and Martina Zamecnik and senior Stacy Crook took home the 50 freestyle with first, second and third places, respectively.
Freshman Vanessa Fleguel guided the Mavericks with a first place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:20.11) and second place finishes in the 100 backstroke (1:04.74) and 200 backstroke (2:17.33).
Sophomore Jamie Grogan also won the 3-meter diving with a score of 267.65.
UNO is back in action after Thanksgiving when they host the Mutual of Omaha Invite, Dec. 5-6, at the HPER Pool in Omaha.
