
Mavericks Fair Well After Day 1 of Invite

Kirksville, MO -- The Mavericks competed well against defending NCAA II National Champions, Truman State at day one of the Truman State Invitational, Friday evening.
Along with Truman State, UNO swam against Washington University (St. Louis) and Lewis University of Illinois in the invite, in which scores are not being kept.
The Mavericks placed third in the 200 freestyle relay (Martina Zamecnik, Bridgette Schram, Veronica Barna and Sarah Clark)and third in the 400 medley relay (Beth Hempleman, Ashley Renshaw, Martina Zamecnik and Stacey Crook).
Juniors Sarah Clark and Martina Zamecnik also placed second and third respectively in the 50 freestyle.
The Mavericks compete again Saturday, Nov. 8 in the invite at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
