Mavs Fare Well At USD Preseason Open

The Nebraska-Omaha women's track team had a strong performance at the Robinson-Ehret-USD Preseason Open Thursday evening with three individual titles and two NCAA national provisional qualifying marks.
Laverne Monger won the 60-meter dash with a NCAA provisional time of 7.76. Foluso Makinde also earned an NCAA provisional mark in the long jump as she took first-place with a leap of 18-8 1/2. Laura Gass captured first-place in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:17.
UNO also had seven second-place finishes and three third-place finishes. Nine other schools participated in the meet at the DakotaDome.
Next action for Nebraska-Omaha is the Kansas State Invite on January 9 in Manhattan, Kansas.
