Mavs in Third Place After Day One of Invite

After the first day of the Mutual of Omaha Invitational, the University of Nebraska at Omaha women's swimming and diving team is in third place with 223 points.
The Truman State women's team is in the lead with 562 points and the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse women are in second with 227 points.
The top three men's teams are the University of South Dakota (419), Truman State (384) and the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse (200).
A second and third place finish in the 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard free relay paced the Mavericks.
Junior Sarah Clark recorded an NCAA qualifying time in the 50-yard freestyle with a first place finish (24.33). Junior Martina Zamecnik also qualified with a second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly.
Other Maverkicks that guided UNO were sophomore Ashley Renshaw with a second place qualifying time in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.95) and freshman Vanessa Fleguel with a third place qualifying time in the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.14).
The final day of the invite continues Saturday. Preliminaries begin at 9 a.m. with finals starting at 3 p.m.
