Mavericks Open Golf Season in 2 Meets

The Mavericks will make their 2003-04 golf debut under new Head Coach Tim Nelson this weekend when they compete in a pair of tournaments in Michigan. UNO returns all 10 of its golfers for the season, aiming to defend its North Central Conference championship. The Mavs will compete in the 36-hole Ferris State Invitational Aug. 30-31 in Big Rapids, Mich., and in the 36-hole Lake Invitational at Grand Valley State University Sept. 1-2. UNO finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the meets last year.
