Stock Ties for 4th in Mavs' Runner-up Finish

GRAND VALLEY, MICH. -- Amanda Stock shot a second round 81 and finished in a tie for fourth place while leading the Mavericks to a runner-up finish in the Laker Invitational Tuesday. Host Grand Valley State captured the team title with a 36-hole total of 625, 17 shots ahead of the Mavs' 642. Stock shot 76-81--157, six shots behind individual champion Melissa Sneller of Grand Valley State.
Ferris State was third in the tournament with a 660 total. It was the second straight tournament in which the Mavericks finished second behind Grand Valley State.
The other Maverick scores included Tanis Hastmann, 79-82--161; Stephanie Oster, 78-83--161; Sandy Stratte 85-79--164; Katie Etter 87-84--171, and Mandy Houtz 94-82--176.
