Mavs Nab 5th Straight Tourney Title

LINCOLN, NEB. -- Stephanie Oster fired a 77 Saturday to earn medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 6-over-par 150 and lead the Mavericks to their fifth straight tournament title in the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational. Teammate Tanis Hastmann shot a 79 for a 156 and finished second as UNO walked away with the team trophy by 25 shots over runner-up Truman State. The UNO Black team finished fourth in the tournament.
The other Mav scores on the Red Team were Amanda Stock 83-83--166, Katie Etter 84-81--165 and Sandy Strate 90-92-182. The Red Team had a 320 Saturday on the Pioneers Park Golf Course for a two-day total of 637. Truman State had 672, Nebraska-Kearney 685 and the UNO Black team 698.
The Black team's scores were Ashley Sipe, who finished fifth, 81-83-164; Mandy Houtz, 87-90--177; Lindsey Herrara 92-87--179; Amber Dodge 89-93--182, and Allison Yung 88-95--183.
