Mavs Travel to Kearney for Dual Action

The Mavericks will take on the University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers in dual action this Friday Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Hastings YMCA. Last year, the Mavs defeated the Lopers 126-95 and look to raise their dual record to a perfect 3-0 Friday.
Last Friday, UNO defeated South Dakota 134.5 to 94.5, in a dual with the Coyotes in the HPER pool. The Mavericks finished first in 10 out of 13 events with Martina Zamecnik and Jamie Grogan each winning two events. UNO's Megan Jamieson defeated 2003-04 conference champion Audrey Donley with a time of 17:59.44 to Donley's 18:05.83.
Saturday, the Mavs finished first in the Jackrabbit Invite, hosted by South Dakota State. UNO finished with 586 points, with second place Minnesota State, Moorhead following with 424. UNO placed first in 15 of 16 events and swept the first and second positions in 10 events.
For her performance in last weekend's action, junior Jamie Grogan was recognized as the North Central Conference diver of the week. Grogan swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter first place honors in both days of diving competition.
