Mavs Swim Away with Invite Crown

OMAHA, Neb.---The University of Nebraska-Omaha swimming and diving team ran away in convincing fashion as they claimed the Mutual of Omaha Invitational. The Mavericks finished with a score of 1,353, followed by second place University of North Dakota who finished with 1,083.
After qualifying three individuals and one relay team yesterday for the Division II nationals, the Mavs added another national qualifying team for the trip. The 200-yard medley relay of Katie Liebmann, Molly Connolly, Martina Zamecnik and Sarah Clark finished with a time of one minute, 46.82 seconds.
The women were paced with five first-place finishes leading them to the invite victory.
UNO is a perfect 3-0 in dual matches and have finished second and first respectively in its other invitationals.
The Mavericks will travel to Vermillion, SD to take on South Dakota next Friday at 6 p.m.
