
Mavericks Place in Four Events Thursday

Buffalo, N.Y.- The Maverick 200 yard freestyle relay team finished seventh to highlight the day for UNO Thursday, the second day of the NCAA II swimming and diving championships. One other relay team and three individuals also placed for the Mavs.
Martina Zamecnik, Bridgette Schram, Lisa Wemhoff and Sarah Clark all teamed to finish seventh in the 200 yard freestyle and the 400 yard medley team of Clark, Ashley Renshaw, Veronica Barna and Stacy Crook finished 11th.
In individual competition Crook finished 13th in the 200 yard freestyle and Barna and Renshaw finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in the 400 yard individual medley.
The Mavs went into the day in 10th place with 27 points. UC-San Diego and Drury were tied in first with 141 points each and North Central Conference champion North Dakota was in fifth with 66 points.

The Mavs placed in the top ten in two events Wednesday, the first day of the NCAA II swimming and diving championships. Sarah Clark finished ninth in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 23.80 to collect nine team points and the 200 yard medley relay team of Clark, Stacy Crook, Ashley Renshaw and Martina Zamecnik clocked in at 1:47.94 to take ninth place and 18 points.
