Mavs Finish Tenth at Nationals

BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Mavericks placed in four events Saturday, the final day of the NCAA II swimming and diving championships, and went on to finish 10th nationally with 167 points. It marked Nebraska-Omaha's fourth-consecutive national top 10 finish. Truman State repeated as champs with 641 points.
The Maverick 400 yard freestyle relay team of Martina Zamecnik, Lisa Wemhoff, Veronica Barna and Stacy Crook finished ninth with a time of 3:31.97.
The Mavericks also placed in three individual events. In the 100 yard freestyle Stacy Crook took eighth with a time of 52.61. Veronica Barna finished 10th in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:30.85. Ashley Renshaw clocked in at 2:23.57 in the 200 yard breaststroke to finish 11th.
