WINONA, MINN. -- Tanis Hastmann and Amanda Stock each shot five-over-par 77s Friday as the Mavericks claimed the lead after one round in the Best Western Riverport Tournament. The final 36 holes will be today.
UNO's 317 on the Cedar Valley Golf Course is 24 shots ahead of second-place South Dakota State in the five-team tournament.
Stock is competing as an individual in the meet, so her score did not contribute to the Maverick team total. The other Maverick scores: Sandy Strate, 79, tied for third; Stephanie Oster, 80; Katie Etter, 81, and Ashley Sipe, 84.
