
Doane Relays Up Next for Mavs

The UNO track team will participate in the Doane Relays in Crete, Neb. on Friday and Saturday. UNO has fared well in their first two meets of the season. The Mavs captured the team title at the Northwest Missouri State Invite two weeks ago. Last weekend, UNO finished third out of 22 teams at the Godfather's Division II Challenge, hosted by Emporia State University.
Nebraska-Omaha has a total of five athletes that have earned NCAA II provisional qualifying marks during the first two meets. Kalyn Byers (heptathlon, high jump); Sarah Menghini (100-meter, 200-meter, 4x100); Ashley Freeman (100-meter, 200-meter, 4x100); Laverne Monger (200-meter, 4x100) and Laura Gass (4x100).
