Akerly Finishes Third At NCC Heptathlon

Fargo, N.D.--Nebraska-Omaha sophomore Debbie Akerly led the Mavericks to a second place team finish at the NCC Heptathlon on Tuesday by finishing third overall with 4,795 points.
Seniors Kalyn Byers and Laurel Stuehm finished fifth and eighth, respectively.
The team points will carry over into the North Central Conference Track and Field Championships which will begin on May 7.
