Hastmann's 81 Leads Mavs to Title

Junior Tanis Hastmann's steady 81 Saturday led the Mavericks to the team title in the Ironwood Classic and her third straight individual crown in the tournament. Hastmann's 163 total over the 36-hole event was 11 shots better than her closest competitors.
UNO's 699 total was 16 shots in front of second-place Minnesota State, Mankato in the seven-team tournament.
Hastmann toured the par-72, 5,999-yard Ironwood Country Club course in 40-41 Saturday while battling windy conditions and slick greens that baffled most of the field. Allyson Yung, playing for UNO's B team, tied for second with an 86-88--174 and Stephanie Oster was sixth with an 88-88--176.
