Mavericks to Compete in Winona Meet

Tanis Hastmann and her Maverick teammates will be looking for their second tournament titles this weekend as UNO heads to Winona, Minn., and the Best Western Riverport Tournament. Hastmann won her third straight Ironwood Classic title and helped the Mavs to their second straight crown last weekend in Omaha.
The Mavs, ranked No. 1 in the North Central Region of NCAA II, posted a 16-shot win over Minnesota State, Mankato last week in the seven-team Ironwood Classic. Hastmann fired rounds of 82-81 for an 11-shot win. It was the third straight time she has won the tournament.
Also entered in this weekend's 36-hole tournament at Cedar Valley Golf Course are Bemidji State, South Dakota State, South Dakota, Concordia-St. Paul and host Winona State.
Tee times begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday's shotgun start will start at 8 a.m.
