Hastmann Ties for 3rd; Mavs Finish 4th

MARSHALL, MINN. -- Tanis Hastmann's final-round 80 Sunday led the Mavericks to a fourth-place finish in the Mustang Invitational. North Dakota won the 12-team tournament at the 5,840-yard, par-72 Marshall Golf Club.
Hastmann's 80 gave her a 36-hole total of 157. Liz Kaler of North Dakota won the tournament with a 76-77--153.
The Mavericks as a team shot 332 Sunday to go with their first-round total of 337 for a 669. North Dakota led with a 645, followed by host Southwest Minnesota State at 653 and Minnesota State, Mankato at 661.
The other UNO scores included Amanda Stock, tied for 10th at 81-83--164; Carly Froehlich 88-86--174; Sara Wolfe 91-84--175 and Ashley Sipe 91-85--176.
Three other Mavs competed as individuals. Mandy Houtz shot an 85 Sunday for a 175 total, Allyson Yung followed her 89 with an 85 for 174 and Lindsay Newton shot 88-87--175.
