Mavericks 6th After First Round at Ferris State

BIG RAPIDS, MICH. -- Amanda Stock and Tanis Hastmann each shot 81s Saturday to lead the Mvaericks into sixth place after the first round of the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Invitational at Katke Golf Course.
Maverick freshmen Kimberly Kuchar and Sara Wolfe each shot 82s and Ashley Sipe added an 84. Lindsay Newton shot a 91.
The Mavericks trail leader Ferris State by 30 shots heading into Sunday's final 18-holes of the 36-hole tournament that has a 19-team field.
