Mavs Finish 6th at Ferris State Meet

BIG RAPIDS, MICH. -- Amanda Stock fired a closing-round 75 and Tanis Hastmann a 76 Sunday to lead the Mavericks to a sixth-place finish in the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Invitational Golf Tournament. Host Ferris State won the tournament with a 595 total.
Stock, a junior from Hermann, Mo., shot 81-75--156 and Hastmann, a senior from Winnipeg, Manitoba, recorded an 81-76--157. The Mavericks shot 314 Sunday for a 640 total in the 19-team, 36-hole tournament at the par-72, 5,990-yard Katke Golf Course.
UNO will compete in the 36-hole Grand Valley State Laker Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Grand Valley, Mich.
The other UNO scorers included Ashley Sipe, who shot 80 Sunday for a 164 total; Sara Wolfe, with an 84 Sunday for 166; Lindsay Newton, who shot 83 Sunday for 174 and Kim Kuchar with 89 for a 171.
Ferris State's 296-299--595 won the tournament, with Grand Valley State second at 607 and Northern Kentucky third at 615.
