Mavericks Garner Two Dual Victories

The UNO swimming and diving team took it to a pair of foes snatching two dual victories Saturday afternoon. The Mavericks downed Northern Iowa 119-19, and defeated Northern Colorado 84-56.
The Mavericks were paced by 11 first place victories.
Senior Veronica Barna posted a time of 10:50.36 in the 1000-yard freestyle. Ashley Renshaw finished the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.20, and also posted a first place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke(2:25.42). Molly Connolly clocked a time of 24.54 in the 50-yard freestyle race. In the 100-yard freestyle, Sarah Clark finished witha time of 53.74. Megan Jamieson clocked a time of 5:19.48 in the 500-yard freestyle. Jessica Hessel finished the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.76 seconds. Adrienne Losee posted a time of 2 minutes, 14.01 seconds in the 200-yard individual medley.
The Maverick 200-yard freestyle relay team of Martina Zamecnik, Jessica Hessel, Molly Connolly, and Sarah Clark fnished with a time of 1:37.92.
Junior Jamie Grogan swept both the one and three meter diving events.
UNO raises its dual record to 8-2, and will host the North Central Conference Championships beginning Wednesday Feb. 16.
