Runners Finish 3rd at NCC Championships

Grand Forks, N.D.--The Nebraska-Omaha women's cross country team finished third at the North Central Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at the Ray Richards Golf Course.
UNO had four runners finish in the top 20 overall. Leading the Mavs was sophomore Tahnee Tuenge who finished seventh overall with a time of 22:31 and senior Kellie Ryan who checked in with a ninth place finish (22:39).
Both Tuenge and Ryan earned all-conference honors by finishing in the top 10. Freshman Kellie Mertes finished 14th with a time of 22:54. Senior Allison Gorman finished the race in 23:08 for 18th place. Senior Sarah Zeisler ran the course in 23:13 to finish 21st. Sophomore Kaylen Harris and Magann Venteicher finished 27th and 41st, respectively.
South Dakota finished first at the NCC meet with four runners in the top six overall. Aimee Nielson finished first for the Coyotes with a time of 21:41.
