Mavericks Fall Short Against Coyotes 156-141

VERMILLION, S.D.-- The Mavericks took South Dakota down to the wire before falling to the Coyotes 156-141 Friday night at the DakotaDome.
In the evenings final event,the 200 meter relay, the Coyotes took first and third places finishes to take home USD's first victory over UNO in the last eight duals.
Overall, UNO(0-2,0-1 NCC) took home victories in eight events including three victories from senior Courtney Petersen. In other action, senior Ashley Renshaw and freshman Lindsey Kline each took home two victories.
The Mavericks will return to action next weekend with three duals in 2 days. Next Friday, UNO will be in Colorado Springs, Colo. for a dual with Colorado College. The following day the Mavericks will dual Metro State in the morning, before wrapping the weekend up in Greely, Colo. for an afternoon dual with Northern Colorado.
