Mavs Third After 2 Rounds of NCC Meet

ELKHORN, Neb. -- Amanda Stock and Lindsay Newton each shot 81s Sunday to stay in the top five as the Mavericks remained in third place after two rounds of the North Central Conference women's golf tournament at Indian Creek Golf Course. The final round will begin at 9 Monday morning at Shadow Ridge Country Club.
The Mavs trail defending champion Minnesota State, Mankato and North Dakota, tied at 635, by 18 shots.
Carly Froehlich's 80 led the Mavericks Sunday. She is tied for 11th with a 166. Mandy Houtz shot 84 and is now 23rd at 177 and Kate O"Dea carded an 87 to tie for 24th at 178.
