Mavericks Excel in Win Over Aqualopers

The Mavericks extended their winning streak to four with a 197-68 victory over the Aqualopers of Nebraska-Kearney Friday night.
UNO won 13 of 16 events, which included victories by ten different Mavericks. Junior Lisa Wemhoff and sophomore Jessica Hessel led the way each taking home two victories. Wemhoff won the 500 yard freestyle(5:35.94) and nipped fellow Maverick Ashley Renshaw by four-tenths of a second to win the 200 yard freestyle(2:00.54).
Hessell won both the 200 yard butterfly(2:13.51) and 200 yard backstroke(2:16.83), while also helping the Mavericks take first in the 200 yard Medley Relay.
The Mavericks(4-2) will be in action tomorrow against Minnesota State, Moorhead at HPER Pool. This will be the first home match of the season for the Mavericks. The match is set to begin at noon.
