Relay Teams Shine at Prairie Wolf Invite

LINCOLN, NEB.--UNO's distance medley and 4x400 relay teams each captured titles Friday at the Prairie Wolf Invitational held at the Bob Devaney Center.
Molly Miller, Ramona Zephier, Angela Kampschnieder and Sarah Zeisler won the medley relay with a time of 12:26.20. The 4x400 winning time of 3:48.70 was ran by Rebekah Hughes, Magda Orzlowski, Laverne Monger and Ashley Freeman.
The Mavericks grabbed another title in the long jump. Foluso Makinde had a leap of 19-03 and also finished third in the 200-meter dash (25.54).
Other third place finishes included Taira Baker (triple jump, 37-06 1/4); Debbie Akerly (60-meter dash, 7.78) and Kellie Ryan (3000-meter run, 10:37.84).
