
Mavs Finish Second at NCC Meet

The Nebraska-Omaha women's track and field team finished second at the North Central Conference Indoor Championships that concluded Saturday at Vermillion, South Dakota.
Anastasia Kyvelidou led UNO with titles in the 60-meter hurdles (8.73) and the triple jump (39-10 1/2). Laverne Monger won the 60-meter dash (7.69) and Rebekah Hughes, Lisa Lane, Angela Kampschnieder and Magda Orzlowski won the 4x400 meter relay (3.57.86).
South Dakota women's team won with 203 points. Nebraska-Omaha finished with 177 points. The team totals for the women is as follows:
1) South Dakota, 203
2) Nebraska-Omaha, 177
3) North Dakota, 100
4) Minnesota State, Mankato, 99.5
5) Augustana, 95
6) Minnesota-Duluth, 42.5
7) St. Cloud State, 22
