UNO Finishes Ninth at Championships

WINTER PARK, Fla.--Finishing day four with three top-15 finishes, UNO secured its sixth straight top-10 finish at the Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. Sheena Kafka turned in one of the team's best performances, finishing second in the three-meter diving event.
Another outstanding performance on the final day came from the Maverick 400 freestyle relay team of Veronica Barna, Martina Zamecnik, Sarah Clark and Lisa Wemhoff that finished in a time of 3:32.58, good enough for 10th place.
Other top-15 performances included a 13th place finish in the 100 freestyle by Molly Connolly clocking a time of 52.82. Omaha native Ashley Renshaw placed 15th with a time of 2:24.01 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
