Kyvelidou earns NCC Athlete of the Week Honors

Anastasia Kyvelidou of Nebraska-Omaha, Michael Lawrence of Minnesota State and Stephanie Gebhart & Derek Gearman of South Dakota have been named the North Central Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Kyvelidou, a senior from Edessa, Greece, broke the school record in winning the heptathlon at the Godfather's DII Challenge in Emporia, Kansas. Her performance is the second highest in NCAA Division II competition this season and also set meet and stadium records.
Gebhart, a sophomore from Elkton, South Dakota, won the 200 (:24.27) and 400(:54.76) dashes at the Godfather's DII Challenge. Her 400 time is the second best in NCAA Division II this season while her 200 time ranks fifth best. She was also part of the winning 4x400 relay team.
Lawrence, a junior from Jacksonville, Florida, finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of :20.85 at the Mount SAC Relays in Walnut, California. He was the top Division II finisher in the field and his time is the fastest in Division II competition this season.
Gearman, a sophomore from Lennox, South Dakota, won the high jump (6-11 3/4)and triple jump (49-10) and placed fourth in the long jump (23-10 1/4) at the Godfather's DII Challenge. All three marks are in the top-10 of Division II competition this season with the triple jump being sixth and the high jump
and long jump eighth.
