Mavs Grab 5 Titles at Bearcat Invite

MARYVILLE, MO -- The Nebraska-Omaha track and field team had a solid showing to open up its outdoor season by earning five titles at the Bearcat Invite on Saturday, hosted by Northwest Missouri State.
Laverne Monger captured the 100-meter (12.19) and 200-meter (24.95) dashes to lead the Mavericks. Kellie Ryan won the 5000-meter run with a time of 18:22. Anastasia Kyvelidou captured the javelin throw with a mark of 44.15 meters. The Maverick 4x100 relay team also won with a time of 47.28.
In all, the Mavericks had 12 top three finishes.
