Stock Sets Tourney Mark, Leads Mavs into 1st

Amanda Stock fired a four-over-par 76 Saturday to lead Nebraska-Omaha into first place after the first round of the 36-hole Ironwood Collegiate Classic at Ironwood Country Club Friday despite wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour on the 6,102-yard, par-72 layout.
Stock went out in even-par 36 and finished with her fifth birdie of the day on the final hole, giving her the lowest round in the four years of the event. UNO's team total of 329 ties the team lowest round for the tournament.
The Mavericks hold a nine-shot cushion over Minnesota State, Mankato entering Saturday's final round, which will begin with tee times at 12:30 p.m.
North Dakota's Alexia LaPlante shot an 80 and UNO B team member Lynn Mulligan an 81.
