UNO Climbs To 7th After Three Rounds

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Amanda Stock fired a one-over-par 74 Friday and Tanis Hastmann shot a 77, as the Mavericks climbed into seventh place after three rounds of the NCAA II women's golf championship. Stock's round of 74 was the best-ever score for a Maverick golfer at the national tournament.
UNO, which started Friday in eighth place, will tee off beginning at 9:10 a.m. CDT Saturday in the final round at the par-73, 6,069-yard The Championship Course.
Two-time defending champion Rollins holds a commanding 21-shot lead over Grand Valley State after shooting a one-over 293 team total Friday. UNO shot 310 as a team and stands at 965.
Stock, a junior from Herman, Mo., moved up to a tie for 18th at 234. Stock started the day tied for 25th. Hastmann is tied for 15th at 232. Mariana De Biase of Rollins shot a two-under 71 Friday for a 218 total, one under par, and leads the tournament.
The other UNO scores Friday included a 79 by Sara Wolfe, an 80 by Carly Froehlich and an 86 by Mandy Houtz. Froehlich is at 249, Wolfe 257, and Houtz 258 for the tournament.
