Stock's 79 Helps Mavs to 2nd

ST. JAMES, Minn. -- Amanda Stock's first-round 79 led the University of Nebraska at Omaha into second place after the first day of the Maverick Roundup at St. James Golf Course.
The Mavericks finished the day with a team score of 325, 10 strokes behind the North Dakota, and one ahead of tournament host Minnesota State University.
Stock's 79 puts her in a tie for fourth place heading into Sunday's final round, one stroke behind tournament leaders Liz Kaler, Alexia Laplante, and Sarah Lucken of North Dakota. UNO's Lindsay Newton sits in sixth place with an 80 and Sarah Wolfe is in a tie for seventh after shooting an 81.
The tournament concludes Sunday at St. James Golf Course.
