Mavericks to Face Missouri Western Saturday

The Mavericks will resume fall action when they face Missouri Western State in a dual meet at Arbor Links Golf Club in Nebraska City Saturday. Tee times will begin at 1 p.m.
Each team will play five and count four scores in the 18-hole event on the Arnold Palmer-designed course. Both teams will also enter individuals in the meet.
Maverick senior Amanda Stock (right) won a one-hole playoff to earn medalist honors in the Minnesota State Roundup at St. James, Minn., last week. UNO finished second behind team champion North Dakota in the 36-hole tournament at the St. James Golf Course near Mankato.
Stock followed a first-round 79 with a three-over par 75 Sunday, then won the playoff with Truman State's Laura Westensee with a par four onthe first playoff hole. UNO's 325-324--649 total was 10 shots behind North Dakota. Minnesota State, Mankato was third with a 657 in the seven-team field.
