Mavs Take Two Victories in Double Dual

Senior Ashley Renshaw, junior Sheena Kafka and freshman Lindsey Kline each won two events as the Mavericks took home two victories on Staurday at HPER Pool. The Mavericks outscored Northern Colorado 159-139 and defeated Northern Iowa 195-98.
In other action Northern Colorado posted a 227-70 victory over Northern Iowa.
Renshaw took home individual titles in the 100 breaststroke(1:08.59) and the 200 yard breaststroke(2:28.82),while also swimming the third leg of the Mavericks first place 200 yard medley relay team.
Kafka added two more titles on Saturday, giving her a total of four for the weekend. In both diving events, Kafka edged fellow Maverick Jamie Grogan for the victory.
Kline won the 200 yard freestyle(1:57.68) and the 500 yard freestyle(5:13.67)
In other action, senior Courtney Peterson won the 200 yard IM(2:13.02),while sophomore Beth Roach took top honor in the 100 yard freestyle(54.91).
The Mavericks finish the regular season 10-4 and will have two weeks to prepare for the North Central Conference Tournament, Feb. 15-18 in Grand Forks, N.D.
