
Mav Swimmers Open Season Against Jayhawks

The Maverick swimming and diving team will open its 2006-2007 season this Saturday in an 11 a.m dual against Kansas at HPER Pool.
In addition to facing the Mavericks, Kansas will also compete against South Dakota State in a seperate dual.
This will be the first time that Kansas and UNO will have met in a swimming competition.
The Mavericks return 17 members from last year's squad that placed second at the NCC Championships and sixth at the NCAA Division II Championships.
Division II All-Americans Lisa Wemhoff, Beth Roach and Lindsey Kline return to anchor a Maverick team which finished 10-4 last season.
This will be the first of three Big 12 opponents for the Mavericks this season. On Oct. 21, the Mavericks will head to Ames to take on Iowa State and will take on Nebraska on Jan. 26 at HPER Pool.
