Mav Swimmers Defeat South Dakota 124-119

The Maverick swimming and diving team posted its first victory of the season on Friday night with a 124-119 win over South Dakota in Vermillion.
The Mavericks were led in the water by sophomore Lindsey Kline, who posted individual wins at the 800 free (9:34.14) and the 400 free in a time of 4:43.17.
UNO posted six individual victories and captured the 200 free relay title to hand South Dakota its first loss of the season.
Senior Lisa Wemhoff captured the 100 free title in 1:00.93, junior Adrienne Losee scored a victory at the 200 IM event (2:31.07) while Jessica Hessel won the 100 butterfly event in time of 1:06.33.
The Mavericks will finish out their road trip in a 10 a.m. dual with Iowa State on Saturday.
