UNO Wrestlers Brighten Patients' Day

OMAHA, Neb. -- Members of the 2006-07 University of Nebraska at Omaha wrestling team took part in their annual "Brighten Someone's Day" before Christmas project on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
The team and coaches visited with patients and autographed team posters at nine area hospitals, including Alegent Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Methodist Children's Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Bergan Mercy Hospital, Quality Living, Immanuel Hospital, Midlands Hospital, Veteran's Hospital and the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
The Mavericks visited over 300 patients in what has become a tradition the team has continued for the past 15 years to bring smiles and laughs to those staying at various health systems during the holidays.
