
Monger Leads UNO at Prairie Wolf Invite

LINCOLN, Neb.--The Nebraska-Omaha track team captured five top three finishes at the Prairie Wolf Invitational Friday night, hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan. The meet was held at the Bob Devaney Sports Center and no team scores were kept.
Laverne Monger won the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.93, while Karin Clarkson placed third (25.51). Monger also took third place in the 60 meter dash (7.78). The two then paired up with Magda Orzylowski and Rebekah Hughes to take second place in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:55.25.
Debbie Akerly finished second place in the triple jump with a leap of 36-8 1/2.
Nebraska-Omaha will head to Mankato, Minn. next weekend to take part in the NCC Championships.
