Mavericks Finish 2nd in NCC Meet

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Ashley Renshaw won another event and was named co-outstanding swimmer and the Mavericks finished second behind champion North Dakota as the North Central Conference swimming and diving meet concluded Saturday night.
Renshaw captured the 200 yard breaststroke event with a time of 2:21.77 which was an automatic qualifying time for the NCAA II national meet in Indianapolis in March. She shared swimmer of the year honors with Lauren Mickelson of North Dakota.
In addition, the Mavs' Lindsey Kline was named co-freshman of the year in the meet, sharing the honor with Ashley Baer of Minnesota State.
The host Fighting Sioux won six events Saturday to unseat defending NCC champion UNO. North Dakota also won the men's title.
