Mavs Capture 5 Events at Graphic Edge Challenge

VERMILLION, S.D.--The Nebraska-Omaha women's track team won five titles at the Graphic Edge Division II Challenge on Saturday at the DakotaDome.
Laverne Monger won the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.86 and also placed second in the 60 meter dash. Both were NCAA II provisional qualifying marks.
Other event winners were Jennifer Victor in the 800 meter dash (2:19.36); Kellie Ryan, 3000 meter run (10:31.50); Debbie Akerly, 60 meter hurdles (8.87) and Foluso Makinde, long jump (18-6 1/2).
