Mavs Have 12 Tabbed to NCC Academic Honor Roll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The office of the North Central Conference has announced that 12 women from the Nebraska-Omaha indoor track and field team have been named to the first-ever NCC Commissioner's Academic Indoor Track and Field Honor Roll. A total of 154 male and female indoor track student-athletes from the NCC achieved the honor during the 2006 season.
To qualify for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.20 grade point average, have completed at least two semesters at their current school and have competed against competition outside of his or her own institution.
Listed are the 12 women that were named to the NCC Academic Honor Roll, including Debbie Akerly (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), Julie Gass (Valentine, Neb.), Allison Gorman (Plattsmouth, Neb.), Kaylen Harris (Omaha, Neb.), Angela Kampschnieder (Omaha, Neb.), Lisa Lane (Omaha, Neb.), Foluso Makinde (Ipetumodu, Nigeria), Magda Orzylowski (Windsor, Ont.), Kellie Ryan (Plattsmouth, Neb.), Tahnee Tuenge (North Platte, Neb.), Jennifer Victor (Axtell, Neb.) and Sarah Zeisler (Butte, Neb.).
