Maverick Golfers Halted by Darkness

VERMILLION, S.D. -- Darkness kept the Mavericks from finishing their first round in the University of South Dakota Invitational Golf Tournament Sunday at The Bluffs. UNO will finish the round at 8:30 Monday morning before teeing off for the second round of the 36-hole event at 10 a.m.
Senior Amanda Stock, one of two UNO players competing as an individual, is tied for the lead with a 79 with Winona State's Morgan Preshek on the 5,965-yard, par-72 course.
Lynn Mulligan carded an 85 and Carly Froehlich, the other Mav to finish, shot an 89.
Minnesota State, Mankato leads the team race with a 342, three shots ahead of Southwest Minnesota State.
