Monger Paces Mavs at Concordia Invite

SEWARD, Neb.--Laverne Monger set a stadium and meet record in the 200-meter dash and was also on the winning 4x100 relay team as UNO went on to grab eight titles at the Concordia Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Monger's time of 24.55 in the 200 was also an NCAA provisional mark. Other first place finishes included Molly Belling, 100-meters; 12:13, Karin Clarkson, 400-meters; 57:43, Tahnee Tuenge, 1500-meters; 4:44.42, Magda Orzylowski, 1:03.03, Foluso Makinde, long jump; 18-11 1/2.
The 4x100 relay team of Monger, Belling, Makinde and Orzylowski finished with a time of 46.98. The 4x400 team The 4x400 team of Becky Hughes, Clarkson, Lane and Orzylowski also finished first with a time of 3:53.03.
In all, UNO finished with 14 top three finishes.
