8 Mavericks Selected to All-Academic Squad

Eight Maverick athletes have been chosen to the NCAA Division II women's all-academic team by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Mavericks chosen include:
Angela Kampschnieder, Jr., Omaha
Debbie Akerly, Sr., Cedar Rapdis, Iowa
Foluso Makinde, Sr., Ipetumodu, Nigeria
Laverne Monger, So., Omaha
Lisa Lane, Sr., Omaha
Magda Orzylowski, Jr., Windsor, Ontario
Molly Belling, Fr., Omaha
Tahnee Tuenge, So., North Platte, Neb.
The team includes athletes who have a minimum of a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have also met the Division II national qualifying standard in their event.
