Balanced Mavs in 4th After First Round

MARSHALL, Minn. -- The Mavericks, with four players in the 80s, are in fourth place after the first round of the 36-hole Mustang Invitational at the Marshall Country Club. Lynn Mulligan, with an 83, and Lindsay Newton, 84, lead the Mavericks. The final round will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday in the 13-team tournament.
UNO, at 339, trails first-round leader Upper Iowa, which shot 326. Augustana is second at 331 and North Dakota third at 335.
Kate O'Dea and Sara Wolfe each shot 86 for UNO, and Erin Ommen added a 93. Amy Powell, with an 85, and Rachael Mooberry, with an 89, competed as individuals.
