UNO Opens Season With Double Dual Sweep

GOLDEN, Colo. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha women's swimming and diving team won 10 of 16 events en route to a double dual sweep over Colorado School of Mines and Mesa State to open the 2007-08 campaign.
The Mavericks defeated host Mines, 77-58, and Mesa State, 81-38.
Cait Hopkins won the 200 freestyle (2:00.06) and the 200 backstroke (2:15.84) to pace the Mavericks on the day. Hopkins also anchored the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:41.80) which also included Lisa Elworth, Katey Howarter, and Kristy Gmeiner.
The Mavericks first place finishes included:

Lindsey Kline - 1000 freestyle (11:09.57)

The Mavericks will continue competing in Colorado on Saturday, when they travel to Fort Collins for the Colorado State Early Bird Invitational.
