UNO 3rd in NCC Meet as Augustana Claims Title

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Three University of Nebraska at Omaha golfers finished in the top 10 Monday, but the Mavericks slipped to third place in the team standings as Augustana claimed the team championship in the North Central Conference tournament at Prairie Green Golf Course.
Sara Wolfe shot a final-round 83 to tie for sixth and Lindsay Newton and Erin Ommen each tied for eighth place. UNO's Lynn Mulligan finished 12th and Abbey Weddle tied for 17th for the Mavericks, who posted a 327 total Monday for a 963 in the 54-hole tournament. Newton posted UNO's best round Monday, an eight-over 80.
Augustana's Courtney Belanger and Kelly Lauer finished 1-2 to lead the Vikings to their first women's team title. Belanger shot a 73 Monday for a 226 total and Lauer a 75 for a 233.
