Mavericks 5th After 1st Day of Husker Meet

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lindsey Kline swam to a seventh-place finish Thursday night in the opening event of the Husker Invitational at the Devaney Natatorium, leading UNO into fifth place after one day in the four-day meet.
Kline recoreded a 17:54.24 in the 1650-yard freestyle event that was won by Colorado State's Kathleen McCleary in a time of 17:16.41.
The Mavericks' 400-yard freestyle relay team of Jessica LaFave, Kline, Megan Guthmiller and Jessica Hessell was eighth and the relay team of Ashley Barna, Adrienne Losee, Lucy Zamecnik and Theresa Scheuber was 10th.
