Nelson Signs Local High School Standout

University of Nebraska at Omaha women's golf coach Tim Nelson announced today that Rebecca Pollock, a local high school standout, has signed a national letter of intent to attend UNO and play golf for the Mavericks next fall.
Pollock, the daughter of Richard and Cheryl, was a four-year letterwinner at Omaha Skutt Catholic under coach Dave Schweitzer. She was also a two-time district champion in 2006 and 2007 and also finished fourth in state in 2007 and seventh in 2006. Pollock owns a 22-1 career record in duals and her best career round is a 75. She also finished first at the Oakland Invite in 2007.
Pollock intends to major in psychology at UNO and aspires to be a clinical psychologist. Along with golf, Pollock also was a two-year letterwinner in basketball at Skutt.
